I had to teach my kids' class again today, but the lesson wasn't as bad as last week's... Because while most of the children were obnoxious as usual, the terror-monkey who poked my scraped-up knees was actually BEHAVING!! And during coloring-time, one of the younger kids looked at me and said (in Japanese, of course...), "I'll draw your face for you, Sensei~!" ...and that was enough to make my entire day..
I still hate whiny kids, though...

There is some kind of a Harry Potter boom at work. How can I tell? My manager is going around calling us all Muggles. XD Talking about Muggles, I remember a while ago I was trying to explain the plot of Kiki's Delivery Service to my mother:
Me: So, Kiki's mom is a witch, and her dad's not...
Mama: A Muggle!!!
I have educated her well. >:D
Monday, October 22, 2002 - 11:07 a.m.
Yesterday, I did something that I hadn't done for more than a decade; I slipped and fell and skinned BOTH my knees. T_T; It was a rainy day, and I was wearing a pair of rather uncomfortable (but waterproof) shoes to work, and while I was trying to walk across a street, my ankle gave away (which seems to happen to me a lot) and I fell into a puddle, on both of my poor knees. My dear roommate, who was walking a couple feet ahead of me, did not notice me writhing in pain while I was trying to stumble across the crosswalk. .... BUT!! Miraculously, my tights did not rip! Although my skinned-off kneecaps were bleeding profusely on them.... ugh. Later that day, I had to teach a class full of boisterous kindergarteners, and one especially rambunctious child caught sight of my bandaged knees and with a delighted expression on his face, proceeded to stab my band-aided wounds with his grubby fingers. ...I hate children.

I just started playing "Boku to Maoh" the other day. (I think it's called Shadow King or something in the U.S.) Stan is so cute... XDD The way he flails his skinny arms around when he's upset/excited... Argh! Stop that silly dance! I can't stand it!!! XD It's too adorable!!!

It's October already... unbelievable. Time goes by so fast! The other day there was a huge typoon, and it was rumored to be the biggest typhoon to hit Japan since World War II, but that bit of info was just exaggerated because it turned out to be the third biggest. When I was walking home in the storm I saw so many people valiantly holding their umbrellas up to avoid getting wet, but the umbrellas were pretty useless because they'd been destroyed by the wind. They were reduced to being just pieces of plastic or vinyl hanging off a metal stick. It was quite laughable, but I was pretty much in the same situation, too..... ~_~;;;
The NARUTO anime was on tonight! I was so excited about it I taped it. ~_~; It was quite nice; the art was pretty and the voices were delicious, but sometimes the background music was so loud I could hardly hear the characters' voices! T_T; Other than that, it was great, because the first episode is my favorite. XD (<-If you couldn't tell, I'm a Iruka Sensei fan) And Sakura and Sasuke came out in the first episode! (I was also expecting Kakashi Sensei, but he didn't appear.) Quite nice.
