My friend was moving to England, so she gave me her bike. Well... not just her bike. At first I was only expecting the bicycle, but I got carried away and started saying yes to all the things that she wanted to leave behind in Japan. So I ended up with a bicycle and three bags of assorted household goodies. On the way to the station, my friend carried a bag and her boyfriend carried the bike (it was foldable), so it was easy... but once I got off the train, I would've had to carry everything by myself. But I didn't have to, because a nice passerby offered to carry the bike up and down the station stairs! And even what was even nicer, the passerby was a middle-school boy. My faith in the youths of Japan is restored...
