Can you believe it? My blog has been in existence for a year already. I can't believe I've managed to keep posting entries. It's a big accomplishment, considering I rarely have anything interesting to write about.
So... stuff I remember in the month of May:
1. Watched Spider-Man. You probably know that by reading my previous entries...
2. Bought a laptop. A shiny Hewlett-Packard one. XD And very, very, powerful. Now I actually have fun surfing the internet beacause it lets me see many sites which were not viewable on my old desktop computer. (Wow, DHTML!) The only demerit of having this nice computer is that my father, every once in a while, comes into my room and stares longingly at it and says, "That's a nice computer. Hey, why won't you give that thing to me? You can have my old one." <-(which is so old it can be considered an antique. All he does is play Solitare on it) T_T;
3. Bought a GameBoy Advance. A pink one! Actually, it's called "fuschia." The same color is called "Milky Pink" in Japan. I wonder why they changed it to "fuschia?" It's obviously pink. The two games I own are Tactics Ogre Gaiden -The Knight of Lodis- and Gensosuikoden CardStories. They're both quite addicting. TO Gaiden is much easier than the original Tactics Ogre, but it's still very interesting. Gensui CS is a card-battling game, and the story part is just like Gensui II, but it all goes really fast and a lot of stuff is skipped, especially how much of a bastard Shu is... (he seems like a good guy in Gensui CS! That's just wrong!)
4. Watched Star Wars Episode II. Hmm... <--(not much of a Star Wars fan) Beautiful graphics, though...
5. Found this in my hit logs and was very, very confused.
6. Was talking to a co-worker at work who received an envelope from another (former) co-worker (who is about age 25-30, by the way) It turned out to contain a CHAIN LETTER, of all things. I was just amazed, because... I didn't think people actually passed those things out anymore. Especially when you're an adult!! I don't think even middle schoolers do that anymore!!! (Although... it was a big thing when I was in junior high...) It was one of those letters which said something like: "This is a lucky chain letter. Pass this out to 12 of your friends within 12 days and make a wish; after 12 days your wish will come true. Don't ignore this letter, or you will have 12 years of bad luck." Being superstitious is one thing, but inconveniencing others with such annoying junk is another. Sad.
7. Watched (parf of) the Harry Potter DVDs. Thanks to dear Ryuuen-chan! We had much fun surfing through those disks. Especially watching Snape speak in espanol. >:D

Because I wanted to play Tetris very very badly after Ryuuen-chan suggesting we play Tetrinet, and because we couldn't play because of server problems, I decided to pull out my GameBoy and play it! Not a GameBoy Advance. Or a GameBoy Color. A GameBoy GameBoy. The boxy gray-colored one. This was my first game console... and it's thirteen years old. Staring at it made me nostalgic... my father bought it for my sister and I one Christmas... I spent hours and hours playing Mario... I played my first RPG on it... I remember my sister and I collecting all the money I could to buy the Zelda game... (Which we bought without prior knowledge of the Zelda series. We wanted to see what kind of game it was because we saw this really stupid commercial for it on TV which featured a wooden puppet Link dancing with a wooden puppet Marin on a beach and singing hysterically, "Yume wo miru shima, ZERUDAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!") Happy memories.
Oh, and Tetris? I couldn't play it. The right button doesn't work anymore because of playing too much Mario. T_T; I'm gonna go and get myself a GameBoy Advance now. A pink one.

I didn't know that Spider-man was hyphenated until today. I went and saw Spider-man at a local AMC theatre this morning, and since I have a superhero obsession (this is why I like shonen mangas and RPGs), it was a rather enjoyable movie. XD I especially liked the scenes where Spider-man was flying between the skyscrapers of New York. ...But after someone made a comment during the scene where Spidey tells Mr. Jameson to shut up "when mommy and daddy are talking" (or something like that) after Green Goblin comes busting into The Bugle building, my whole perspective of the movie changed...
Who's the mommy!? *next scene* (it shows Green Goblin carrying Spidey away on his hovercraft-thingie like a prince carrying a princess on a horse) Okay, my questions are answered...
*another scene* (it shows Green Goblin grabbing Spidey's chin) NOOOOOOOOO!!! That's too wrong!!!
*ending scene* (it shows a rather unresolved ending for a Hollywood movie) Wait, that's it? That's kind of an unhappy ending... Huh? It's a trilogy? Okay, then I'm expecting Harry x Spidey stuff in the next ones!! Huh? Mary Jane? Who's that?
But all kidding aside, it was a fun movie.
